The egg and bacon brioche was perfect! My egg was still a bit runny in the middle even after heating it up. I opted for the grizzly chai latte which is listed as half as sweet and twice as spicy, and it was perfection. The chocolate chip cookie was a really decadent treat. Definitely eat in because the chill music and calm atmosphere is almost spa-like in its serenity. I'm leaving full, happy, and relaxed.
We visited from Halifax and we all loved the blueberry fog tea and the sprinkle cookie but the vegan doughnut was my favourite. Nice professional people working here who were juggling tons of customers and doing a great job multitasking. we will definitely visit again
Fancy a blueberry maple London fog? Don’t mind if I do. Something freshly baked alongside? Why not? I’d like an excuse to stay a little longer to eavesdrop on the local gossip and soak in the vibes that manage to be both rustic and polished, folksy and urbane. Screams Nova Scotia charm.
Excellent coffee shop, great atmosphere with some nice comfy sofas/chairs for sitting, good coffee, and a variety of items available. Decent prices, parking available if your driving through.
Very well put together little coffee shop. The decor is very welcoming warm. Some of the staff were quite friendly and the coffees were quite good!
Normally I absolutely love The Barn but my recent experience wasn’t so great. I bought a turkey BLT expecting it to be just as phenomenal as anything else I’ve gotten there before but opened my sandwich to see that the bacon on it was literally raw. As someone who’s worked in restaurants in the past the last thing I want to do is complain because I know how high pressure things get but this was an impressive mistake. Again, great establishment but how does one put fully raw meat on a sandwich and not notice?
Raspberry scone was delicious as well as the ham and cheese sandwich. Best coffee I have had out in a while (I had a misto) in a beautiful pottery mug. Loved the music soundtrack and the overall vibe - beautiful and comfortable place
Amazing coffee house! Absolutely loved the atmosphere here, the decor. Friendly staff and delicious drinks. We had the blueberry maple fog (so good!) and a caramel latte (also so good!). Probably the best hot drinks we’ve had in a long time! We’re visiting from Niagara, Ontario, and we’re so glad we happened to find/pick this cafe in beautiful Mahone Bay! A place we’ll definitely come back to on our next visit.
